LinkedIn Outbound Messaging Templates. For Marketing Agencies

Here are the LinkedIn Templates I use in outbound campaigns. 

They are cheeky and different. Helping them stand out from all the clutter. 

The aim is to provide / illustrate your value. In a socially aware way. Before going for a soft close. 

OBVIOUSLY. 

Don’t send out the same messages word-for-word. Adapt them. Put your own creative spin on it.

Message 1: Connection Request

Sorry [First Name]

I’m going to be quite audacious here with this blatantly canned message 🙂

But - I am genuinely looking to connect with fellow [Insert Your Niche] in [Insert Your Area]

Would be super awesome to make your acquaintance.

Message 2: Invite To Your Group

Aloha [First Name],

This relationship is moving fast! Even though we are still strangers, at least The World thinks we know each other because we are now “connected”. The power of LinkedIn.

Anyhoo...

I created a LinkedIn group for [X Industry] to learn [Y Thing].

It’s got [X members] already. So we can all get more acquainted there...

Message 3: Link to Long-Form Resource

Salutations [First Name],

In keeping with the tradition of unsolicited LinkedIn messages from people you barely know… here’s another! 

This one is worth it though I promise 😉

I wrote an article which shows you [X thing] Using [Y mechanism] inbound/outbound marketing and relationship building. Without [Z unwanted thing].

I originally connected with you because I do [X thing you do better than anyone else]. All without [Y Thing they can avoid with your unique mechanism].

Were based in [Your location]. I run it by myself and have a team of [X number]

We absolutely love putting those ‘big’ agencies to shame by delivering incredible results. I think we could do the same for you. We’ve worked with [Insert your credentials and social proof].

I’d love to meet you. To make it worth your while, I’ll treat you to [unique food or drink - nothing boring] and promise to be somewhat entertaining. You never know, I may even wear my [unique item of clothing]!

Message 6: Follow-Up Call Request

Greetings [First name],

You are probably fed up of all the messages from people trying to “get to know you” and connect with you.

Probably even fed up of me. 

Believe it or not - I’ve actually met up with people from LinkedIn in real life. Shock horror!

It can be a bit weird at first. Kinda like a first date. But after the first coffee some of them turn out to be really cool. Sometimes we end up breaking bread together. 

If you’ve never tried it before I highly recommend it. Maybe we can connect over a coffee (or a call if it's easier)?

Love talking shop with other [X people]

How does either [X date / time] in the afternoon or  [Y date / time] sound?

In Summary

These are the template I use to close clients for marketing agencies.

They may seem too out there for sum. But remember, high-value people get 100s of messages a day. 

You need to stand out.
